What can make the difference

There is no microorganism known resistant to the Ultra violet, in contrast to the treatment of water with chlorine for example. The UV is known to be the most effective treatment against bacteria, viruses and algae. In practice, the bacteria and viruses are the cause of many pathogenic diseases carried by water.

Of these viruses, the virus of hepatitis and Legionella showed faculties to survive treatment with chlorine for considerable periods of time, but are easily eliminated by UV treatment.

For most microorganisms, effectiveness of UV against microbiological contaminants such as bacteria and viruses is total.

The water by UV treatment is very effective (more than 99.99%) against; Salmonella (typhoid fever), salmonella enteritidis (gastroenteritis), vibrio cholerae (cholera), Mycobacetrium tuberculosis (TB), Legionella pneumophila (Legionella), influenza, polio, coliform fecal and total Hepatitus.
